Job Description:
Esquire is seeking a full-time editorial fellow to support the editorial team by writing, researching, and producing stories. Independent initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines are required. Fetching coffee for the boss is not.
The fellowship is full-time (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and pays an hourly wage of $15.00, with no overtime or participation in Hearst benefits.
The position will start on June 1, 2021, and end on December 31, 2021.
The Esquire fellow will be expected to produce multiple online stories a week on tight deadlines, in sections ranging from culture and entertainment to fashion and lifestyle.
This position is ideal for a nimble, early career writer with a can-do attitude.
While this position is currently remote, it may later involve reporting to the Esquire office, pending the evolution of local and federal public health guidelines. As such, the ideal candidate will be based in the New York City metropolitan area.
