Role Description
Are you looking to connect your gift of gab and all things creative to a public relations and social marketing agency that will allow you to grow your experience while working as a part of our team? If so, you’e come to the right place. For these exciting roles – public relations and social media marketing – each intern will be responsible for assisting in deep research, generating social media content, pitch notes and media lists, as well as attending events and other tasks related to our clients’ public relations and strategic marketing needs. You may even create content for our Instagram and TikTok pages! This is an onsite role and is located in the heart of the downtown Jersey City arts district. Requirements include:
- Must be currently enrolled in school and able to receive credit for this internship
- Strong interest in public relations – beauty, lifestyle, coffee/beverages, graphic design and editorial a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and research skills
- Ability to write creative and effective press releases and media alerts
- The ability to meet deadlines, be resourceful and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Dependability, discretion and attention to detail are required
- A self-starter with a team-player attitude
- Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Proficiency using Apple products, Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Enthusiasm, punctuality, and a general love for all things media
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
- Attention to detail and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or in progress in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
