Public Relations, Assistant Professor. To develop and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in our rapidly growing public relations/corporate and strategic communication programs. A Master’s degree in a relevant field (Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Public Affairs, Journalism, Management) and substantial record of professional experience is required. Senior-level public relations agency or corporate communication professional experience and a terminal degree (M.F.A. or doctorate) are preferred.

Areas of expertise may include some or all of the following: public relations writing, management, campaigns and cases; social/digital media marketing, corporate social responsibility, non-profit PR, strategic integrated communication and/or crisis management.

The position requires a variety of teaching, service and creative duties including career, academic and club advisement; department and university service; curriculum development; community and industry outreach and professional partnership development. The position also requires the faculty member to produce a body of creative professional work and/or a research agenda.

 Candidates should possess a passion for public relations and a commitment to helping students achieve in an increasingly complex and competitive professional environment.
