Responsibilities:
· Assist with product launch logistics (product forecasting, supplies, lab samples, etc.).
· Assist with monitoring the department’s direct and indirect budgets, process expenses and invoices and follow up with the accounting department.
· Assist with special projects including editor deliveries, media monitoring, event planning, etc.
· Liaise with PR agencies to support department needs and initiatives.
· Draft and edit press materials.
· Communicate and distribute approved PR information/materials to global affiliates and post to the portal.
· Process and route creative requests to creative department.
· Coordinate internship program: maintain relationships with universities, interview/hire candidates and oversee interns on daily basis (orientation, training, project management, etc.).
· Maintain PR Activity Calendars and Timing & Action Plans
· Fulfill media product requests.
· Support in management of social media platforms and programs.
· Monitor the PR mailbox on a regular basis and route to relevant parties.
· Maintain department files, publication subscriptions, Global Affiliates distribution list, press lists, awards list, etc.
· Maintain product and supplies closet and process all no-charge orders.
· Provide general department administrative support.
Qualifications:
· 1-2 years experience in Public Relations field (beauty industry experience preferred)
· Bachelors degree (Communications or English majors preferred, but not required).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on writing and editing.
· Superior organizational and follow-up skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to prioritize and meet ever-changing deadlines.
· Strong team player that works well with others
· Understands how to prioritize and manage workload
· Superior organizational and follow-up skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
· Must be proactive and able to see the big picture while being detail oriented.
