We are pleased to offer a 6-Month Internship starting at MINI USA, a division of BMW of North America, LLC.
6-Month Internship – MINI USA Marketing Associate
The Marketing Associate’s responsibilities are varied and cross all channels of marketing communications. You will be supporting the MINI Brand Communications manager and the extended MINI marketing team, and interacting with the product, sales, aftersales and legal departments within MINI.
Key responsibilities include daily marketing activities as well as financial and administrative support. This can range from supporting the MINI Brand Manager and agency partners in development of campaign creative, placement and tracking of online advertising, to retail offers deployment; production coordination to estimate and invoice tracking as well as meeting organization. You are the team’s 2nd pair of hands on key aspects of what is needed to make the MINI brand successful.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Marketing support:
• Help imagine, produce and facilitate great marketing communications for the MINI brand in the United States, to grow brand awareness and drive purchase consideration.
• Support marketing initiatives in areas like digital/programmatic, television, film, social media, out-of-home, print, and new forms of media.
• Learn and advise agency partners on all aspects of corporate identity company-wide, to ensure consistent communication of the brand with internal departments, dealers and external advertising partners.
• Gather and share input/feedback related to marketing campaigns and creative layouts to communicate changes to agency teams.
• Support MINI Product Placement and vehicle displays at events; includes vehicle logistics, short-term loans to television and film personnel, and event coordination.
• Organize a library of MINI advertising and running footage content to stream at dealerships throughout the country.
• Communicate brand information (via Newsletters and Bulletins) to the MINI dealer network on a weekly basis.
Finance & Administrative support:
• Work with Brand Manager to support marketing department budgeting, including:
o Review of purchase orders, manage and track estimates and invoices, using SAP, MINI’s financial management system.
o Work with Purchasing and Controlling departments to facilitate efficient processing of estimates and purchase orders with required backup.
o Budget reviews with agencies, reporting and reconciliation
• Other administrative tasks as needed, such as coordinating meetings/rooms.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
• Enrolled in Bachelors or Masters studies or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date
• Experience in marketing, public relations, visual arts, or a related field.
• Mandatory functional skill sets: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office software.
- Comfort level and familiarity with Internet and social media.
Preferred Requirements:
• Marketing or Communications Major.
• You have a friendly, interesting, outgoing personality – fitting of the MINI brand.
• Creative and/or artistic background encouraged.
• You thrive on challenge and collaboration, and love a fast-paced environment.
• You have superb written and oral communications skills, as well the ability to manage multiple projects and execute priority projects.
• You are motivated, organized, a self-starter and play well with others
• Availability of 6 months.
