Company Overview:
Willie Wilson Entertainment has a children’s musical theatre company called Theatre Arts Group/TAG. TAG provides 6 theatre programs/year to kids aged 8-15.
Internship Program Requirements/Job Description:
TAG trains kids aged 8-15 in theatre arts. TAG provides musical instructions, dance instruction and acting lessons. At the end of each program, a musical production is performed in a theatre with a live audience of 200 people.
TAG has experienced a 100% growth spurt in the last two years due to Covid. TAG was the only summer camp to remain open during 2020. A Covid-Compliance Officer was installed to prevent infection, which was 100% successful. Enrollments at TAG increased tremendously. Currently, TAG needs assistance with their website, social media, marketing and advertising. Plus, TAG needs a technology answer to many manual practices.
TAG’s intention is to create more efficiencies in the Producer’s area of responsibility. This is not an artistic/creative position. After a face-to-face meeting with the Producer to see the areas needing efficiencies, the work can be done remotely.
Intern responsibilities include:
Types of work the intern will be doing (administrative, media lists, reports, pitches, event logistics, releases, social media, research, production support, editing, filming, writing, etc.) This is an Administrative position that oversees social media and our website. Our website is on SquareSpace and we need some reporting functions to automate our enrollments.
· Major/Discipline areas preferred – Communications, PR, Marketing, Technology
· Writing copy would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
Compensation:
TAG can offer $15/hour for this freelance job opportunity.
