Teaneck Creek Conservancy/Public Relations Intern
The Teaneck Creek Conservancy (TCC) is a member-supported, nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to the reclamation and protection of the cultural and historical legacy of the Teaneck Creek watershed in northern New Jersey. (Visit http://www.teaneckcreek.org)

The Public Relations intern will perform the following functions:
● Media planning: Research and develop print/broadcast media lists
to increase number of contacts in media that focus specifically on
the 8 communities that surround Teaneck
● Write news releases for ongoing programs and advance notices of
special events
● Develop content for pitching feature pieces to print and broadcast
media
● Create visual/multimedia content suitable for social media
Related responsibilities:
● Media planning by target audience
● Media relations outreach/pitching
● Coordination with outside digital agency, partner organizations
Preferred skills and experience
● Excellent written and verbal communication (provide writing
samples)
● Understanding of print and broadcast media requirements
● Familiarity/experience with online platforms
● Passion for environmental protection, preservation of wildlife
● Demonstrated commitment to deadlines (cite examples)
● Demonstrated ability to execute collaborative assignments
Preferred hours / days per week

Hybrid temporary, part-time position 4-6 hours per week. Occasional onsite visit helpful
Compensation

Monthly stipend and possibility for college credit if registered for your university internship course.
